Now, it's finally done! My entry for 's Forbidden Love contest: [link] (why am I always doing everything in the very last minute? the contest's been going on for about 3 months, and I started drawing my pic pretty early, but still I'm drawing the most of it one day before deadline. pretty stressful - and idiotic!)

OK, about the picture now. The contest is - as you already know - about forbidden love. And I chose to bring up the subject of homosexual relationships. More specifically: the question of whether homosexual pairs should have the right to get/adopt children. (which I don't have any problems with myself, but with some people are considered as "wrong")

And why the seahorses? All seahorses are in relationships that lasts the whole life. And I would guess the homosexual ones are pretty few, if not even non existent. (but I chose to make things a bit a bit different here, just to make things more interesting and suitable for the contest) Anyways, as you probably all know, it is the male seahorse that is "pregnant" so to speak. He carry the babies until they're born, after the female has like put the eggs in his stomach. That's sort of why I chose seahorses, since there it is shown that the fathers really do care about the young ones, otherwise they wouldn't have let their mate give them the eggs. (but then, when the babies are born, they have to take care of themselves, and the parents will take no notice of them anymore, but that's yet another bit I decided to change) Instead, in my picture those two homosexual seahorses are devoted parents.
If a male and female can be good and caring parents - before the youths are born, that is - why wouldn't two males be it as well, especially with the whole pregnancy stuff.

(for me the meaning of this pic is so obvious, but I realized it's very hard to describe it for you guys. hope I managed to do it somewhat, though. just ask if there still are some question marks)

PS. My example here includes male-male relationships only, but of course it's the same with two females. Just found it more suitable to describe and show it with just the males in this picture.
