I first attempted to do a different picture, with a more realistic style, instead of cartoon. But I realized it was too difficult for me to pull through with - I'm not that good as a real-to-life artist yet.
So I changed my mind and did this picture instead. It simply portrays me in the hospital bed when I got my epilepsy diagnosis from the doctors, back in 2006, and my thoughts and feelings about the whole situation. (and yeah, I know the scratch on my cheek is a bit over-dramatized, but sometimes you have to exaggerate your pictures a bit; it makes good art)
How did you get on in the contest? I also have epilepsy (I am on 400mg per day dilantin - which may be called epanutin in Sweden) though it is (touch wood very hastily!) over a decade since my last seizure. What medication are you on?
No idea about the contest - the deadline has just run out. But I hope for the best Over a decade without seizures? Lucky you. I don't complain too much though, I only have one every 2nd-3rd month. But last Thursday, I had TWO on the same day! That really sucked... Anyway, regarding my medication, I'm on Lamictal (don't know what it's called in English).

Lamictal is also the British name! I hope some time your seizures will be less common, and as infrequently as mine very soon. All the best. (By the way, what is the Swedish word for "epilepsy"?)

This is a collection of deviations showing real Pinups in the classic Retro poses from various Artists. For the 4rd time I present a variation of Vintage Pinup Queens as well as fresh modern Pinup art. If you love Polkadots, seamed Nylons, Plateau-Heels and and Miles-long-legs you should not miss this collection.
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example. From participating in devmeets, to providing positive encouragement to other artists, `Rushy can always be found demonstrating what it really takes to be a true deviant. It's without any hesitation that we are delighted to award the Deviousness Award for July 2009 to `RushyRead More
